Programs

Program grants are a major investment by the QCMRI. These grants will only be awarded to outstanding researchers within the Children’s Health Services District. The aim of the QCMRI Program Grants Scheme is to provide support for researchers to pursue collaborative research goals on important areas of child and adolescent health, and in so doing:

•     Create new knowledge that will be of national and international importance
•     Develop and test innovative ideas and solutions
•     Facilitate training opportunities and career development within the research team
•     Provide research leadership within their field of expertise
•     Translate research findings into clinical practice and improved child and adolescent health outcomes

It will be expected that these grants will result in improved health outcomes for children and adolescents, development of new treatments and savings in the health dollar.

It is anticipated that one program grant will be awarded during the 2011 Program Grant Scheme. Program grants for up to 5 years with funding of $500,000 per annum will be considered.

If you have any enquiries in relation to these funding schemes please contact Sue Lau, sue.lau@qcmri.org.au or phone 3636 1264.
